How to Claim Your Credits

Accreditation Statement (ACCME, ACPE, ANCC) 

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Cancer Coalition. University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. 

Credit Designation Statements   
AMA Designation Statement   

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ACPE Designation Statement 

These knowledge-based activities will provide pharmacists up to 6.0 contact hours or 0.6 CEU. CE credit information, based on verification of live attendance and completion of the program evaluation, will be provided to NABP within 60 days after the activity completion.  

ANCC Designation Statement   

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.0 ANCC contact hours. Nursing contact hours will be awarded for successful completion of program components based upon documented attendance and completion of evaluation materials.   

AAPA Designation Statement   

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 6.0 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

NCHEC Statement

Sponsored by UAMS Institute for Digital Health and Innovation, a designated provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. This program is designated for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) and/or Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES) to receive up to 6.0 total Category I continuing education contact hours.  Maximum advanced-level continuing education contact hours are 6.0. Continuing competency credits available are3.0   Provider ID#112542  

Participants seeking CHES/MCHES credit must evaluate online at  A certificate will be available for download and/or print at the completion of the evaluation. Respiratory Care Credits   

This training has been approved for 3.5 CEU credits for respiratory therapists by the Respiratory Care Examining Committee as follows: 

Motivational Interviewing – 2 CEUs 

Low Dose CT Scanning – 0.75 CEUs 

Pharmacotherapy – 0.75 CEUs 

Dental Hygienist Credits   

Tobacco Cessation Training for Healthcare Providers has been approved for 6 CEU credits for dental hygienist professionals by the Arkansas Dental Health Association.
