Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death and the second most common cancer among both men and women in the United States.

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month!  Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death and the second most common cancer among both men and women in the United States.  The American Cancer Society Facts and Figures report estimates that in 2016, 2,610 Arkansans will be die from lung and bronchus cancer.  This is more deaths than those caused by female breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and prostate cancer combined.  Almost 40% of cancer deaths among men and 26% of cancer deaths among women were attributable to cigarette smoking.
