Please join us for the ACC Quarterly Meeting on Tuesday, September 14, at 10:00AM! This meeting will be held online via Zoom.

During this quarterly meeting, Trena Mitchell will introduce the newly awarded ACC competitive grantees, and Dr. Hattie Scribner will talk about updates on breast cancer control and the Arkansas Department of Health BreastCare program. The agenda is below.

 

Introducing our speaker:

Dr. Hattie Scribner – ADH

Dr. Hattie Scribner serves as the Administrator for the Arkansas Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection (BCCEDP) Program at the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH). In this role, Dr. Hattie oversees statewide coordinated efforts to expand cancer screening services to women, who may qualify.

Dr. Hattie has 25 years of combined experience in the nonprofit and state sectors. She obtained a doctorate in Interdisciplinary Leadership (minor in Public Health) and a Master’s in Health Sciences both from the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) at Conway. She also has a Bachelor’s in Community Health from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB). Dr. Hattie holds a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES®) designation and is a scholar of the CDC and the Association of South Carolina Public Health (ASPH) Institute for HIV Prevention Leadership.

Together, Dr. Hattie and her husband Kevin have six children and six grandchildren.
