Shimeka Chretien-Bass works as a Senior Manager of Cancer Control Strategic Partnerships within the Southern Region of the American Cancer Society. In this role, she oversees the direction of a group of Account Managers who serve as consultants to health systems, coalitions, insurers/payors, hospitals, and Community Health Centers throughout Mississippi and Arkansas in the primary areas of cancer detection, prevention, and survivorship. Beyond supervision of staff, she also serves as a strategic advisor and collaborator to multiple FQHCs throughout the state as well as Primary Care Associations in MS & AR.
As a trained Health Team Works Quality Improvement Coach, she offers free consultative guidance, facilitation, and technical assistance on evidence-based strategies that assist to improve quality measures and outcomes. She also holds the certifications of Six Sigma Lean Black Belt in Healthcare and Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
Mrs. Bass has a Bachelor of Science in the field of Health Promotion & Wellness from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and has been with the American Cancer Society for over 11 years and has worked in various areas of healthcare for more than 14 years.
