UAMS is hosting a visiting lectureship about oncology and community health. The speaker is Karen Meneses, PhD, RN, FAAN, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing! She is a pre-eminent, internationally-known scientist in cancer survivorship disparities research. Her contributions and evidence-driven intervention programs have improved the lives of cancer survivors. She is the recent recipient of the Ada Sue Hinshaw Award, the most prestigious award for lifetime achievement by a nurse scientist. In this presentation, Dr. Meneses will discuss Lessons Learned in Engagement with the Community in Cancer Survivorship Disparities Research.
