The Mission of the White River Health System (WRHS) is to provide a safe, efficient delivery of quality healthcare and to improve the health of our communities through education and outreach. WRHS is an acute care multi-facility not-for-profit regional referral center serving North Central AR. WRHS has been in existence since 1976, when it was established as the White River Medical Center (WRMC). • WRMC is a 230 bed facility with an Emergency Department (ER) averaging 30,000 visits annually. • WRHS owns ten rural health clinics in six counties including Batesville, Cave City, Melbourne, Newark, Newport, Tuckerman, Cherokee Village, Mountain View, Pleasant Plains, and Strawberry. • The WRHS system includes hospitals, outpatient facilities, primary care and specialty physician office practices.
