Tie your shoelaces, Step Up to the Start Line and Run or Walk for Cancer!

Fort Smith, AR – Come join us Saturday, October 19, 2019, as hundreds of Runners and Walkers gather to raise money to help our neighbors impacted by cancer! We are excited that every dollar raised provides financial support for cancer patients, survivors, and their caregivers through the Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House.

Survivors’ Challenge offers a 10K Run 5K Run or Walk, a Celebration Walk and a Kids’ Fun Run. You can also enjoy some delicious coffee and local cuisine from the most popular food truck vendors, shop from local shops and visit with area companies and clubs. From health products to home décor – and all to raise money to support those with a Cancer diagnosis!

The Survivors’ Challenge USTAF certified course runs through some of the most scenic residential streets in our city. Community volunteers and safety officers are stationed along the route to cheer, entertain, and offer a refreshing drink of water. Winners Medals and healthy refreshments will await participants at the finish line!!

WHY: The Cancer Support House is completely privately funded which is why fundraising events are so important! All funds raised helps provide free programs and services so that no cancer patient, survivor, or family member has to face the cancer journey alone.

This event raises funds to provide financial assistance for thousands of cancer survivors and their families, right here in our community! Survivors’ Challenge is a long standing community favorite and is a Celebration of Life to honor those with any type of cancer and also honors the memory of so many loved ones lost to this disease.

Call for Vendors! Local businesses, artisans, health care enthusiast, children’s groups, churches, nonprofits, and more, ask about a vendor booth! Survivors’ Challenge is the largest event of its kind in our area and is a fantastic opportunity to show your support of Cancer Survivors in our community while also showcasing your business.

Seeking Volunteers! There are many fun volunteer opportunities available to suit your schedule. This is a great opportunity for student groups, civic groups, church groups, etc. to invest a few hours of your time to benefit cancer survivors in our community.

Sponsors Needed! The 28th Annual Survivors’ Challenge for offers sponsors a valuable marketing opportunity to reach a broad audience through local print and social media. There are opportunities for every budget. Check out the sponsorship packages or let us know how we can work together to come up with something that works for you. In addition to monetary donations, we are always looking for in-kind partners including media, food and beverage, event supplies and signage.

Since 1978 the Cancer Support House has offered a diverse range of services, from providing nutritional supplements, wigs, bras and breast prostheses, to assisting with treatment transportation, cancer medication costs, free counseling services, and cancer screenings. No reimbursement is received from Medicare, Medicaid or any insurance company, nor is the client charged for services provided. All funds raised remain entirely in Fort Smith goes to provide immediate support to cancer patients.
