Please join us for the ACC Quarterly Meeting on Tuesday, September 13, at 10:00AM! This meeting will be held online via Zoom.

During this meeting, Trena Mitchell will announce the FY23 ACC Competitive Grant award recipients, and Matthew Kovak will talk about an overview of cancer clinical trials. Please see the agenda below.

Introducing our speaker:

Matthew Kovak, MS, CCRP, UAMS Winthrop P Rockefeller Cancer Institute

Matthew Kovak is the Director of the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute Clinical Trials Office at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). He has over 12 years of clinical research and clinical trials experience at UAMS. He earned his undergraduate degree at Lyon College in Biology and his Masters degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UAMS. He holds his Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) certificate through the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) and serves as a member of the Site Advisory Panel for the Cancer Trials Support Unit (CTSU) through NCI.

In his free time, he enjoys gardening, fishing and spending time in nature with his wife Amanda and two St. Bernard’s, Abby and Wynnie.
